EVENTS :

The College celebrates International Women’s Day” every year with gusto on the thematic concept of “JAGRITY- the awakening.” Last year (2010), Ms.Maneka Sorcar graced the occasion by her luminous presence.  This year, Smt. Indrani Sen, a renowned singer and an outstanding academician was present with us as a Special Guest. Not only this; some of our faculties and young budding students showed their extraordinary talents through various events. We have also published a souvenir named “JAGRITY” where inspiring messages of eminent personalities have encouraged our students to achieve their goals.

A number of reputed companies (HCL, Globsyn, MICRO PRO and HP) visited the campus in the months of March, April and May for interaction with the students and discussed on various scopes and opportunities of training and placement.

Announcement:

The college has bagged a prestigious AICTE sponsored project worth Rs.6 lakhs under the scheme of Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC). The project is of two years duration. Dr.Anindita Banerjee, Assiatant Prof., ECE is the Chief Co-ordinator and Smt. Joyeeta Mukherjee, E-cell Co-ordinator of BCETW is the principal Project Leader.

The enthusiastic members of E-cell of BCETW have set up a campus company namely DIVAS, which is at present working on a project of Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing of Ethnic Ladies’ Wears.

Both JEM and AIEEE merit listed candidates shall have to adhere to the cut-off marks in qualifying examination (10+2) i.e., at least 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) marks in aggregates with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics for Engineering, being compulsory subjects with pass marks in each of those individual subjects (as per AICTE Norms) and pass marks (30%) in English.
