Seminar on Frontiers of Technology A one day seminar titled Frontiers of Technology was held in the college on 27/04/13. It was in collaboration with Institution of Engineers (India), Durgapur Chapter that BCETW organised it. The focal themes of the seminar were Mobile Technology, Robotics and Wireless Multimedia Social Network. Eminent academicians and noted industry experts graced the seminar as resource persons. The faculty members of the departments of CSE, ECE and EEE and more than 400 students attended it to make it a grand success.

International Women’s Day A red letter day in the post-modern era, International Women’s Day propels BCETW, a women’s engineering college to move forward to its goal. Hence it is observed every year on college campus. This year we celebrated the Day with all enthusiasm and euphoria. Dr. Anjali Ghosh, an ex-Professor of International Relations, Jadavpur University and Mrs. Anindita Mukhopadhyay, a noted social worker of Durgapur as well as the Councillor of Ward No 20, DMC and Mrs Debomitra Sengupta, a renowned Odissi Dancer graced the occasion as Chief Guest & Special Guests respectively. Competitions on debate, essay, painting, self-composed poetry and poster were organized to nurture the creative faculty of the students. A Technical Exhibition was also held to showcase the talents of the budding engineers.

Shaswata Bharat In association with Ramakrishna math, Kankurgachhi, Kolkata, the college organized a workshop titled Shaswata Bharat on April 2nd. The theme of the workshop was “Value Education and Personality Development in the light of Swami Vivekananda’s concept of man-making, character-building and nation-building”. The faculty, the staff and the students attended the same and did gain some valuable experience.
