Welcome to BCETW

Founded in 2009 by the SKS Educational and Social Trust, Bengal College of Engineering and Technology for Women is the first women’s engineering college in the entire eastern region of the country. Till date it is the only such institute in West Bengal. Situated in the posh part of Durgapur, the Steel City of Bengal and housed elegantly in a building with modern architectonic features, it is the cynosure of all eyes. Starting its journey five years back, the institute has already positioned itself among the premier engineering institutes in the Asansol-Durgapur industrial belt.

The campus comprises the college building, three girls’ hostels, the playground and the cafeteria. The main building houses all the departments with the state-of-the-art labs, the library, the conference hall, the language lab, the lecture theatres, the tutorial rooms etc. Seminars, workshops, conferences, cultural events and co-curricular programs— life never ceases to buzz on BCETW campus.

The college has the vision to emerge as a leader in the realm of engineering education and set new benchmarks in the same. To empower women by imparting them quality technical education as well as catapulting them to a successful professional career is what it aims at. Our nation today needs a lot of female technocrats and scientists to materialize its dream and BCETW is going to playing a significant role in making the dream come true.

• BCETW Celebrates International Women’s Day (11-14th th March 2015)
The students of BCETW celebrated International Women’s Day, 2015 from 11-14 March 2015 accompanied with tech fest and cultural fest on the campus with lot of enthusiasm and excitement. Dr. Sruti Bandopadhay Professor Rabindra Music Dance & Drama (Viswa Bharati University) & Dr. Asmita Sengupta, Professor Department of Physics (Viswa Bharati University) grace the occasion as Chief Guest & Special Guest respectively. • Games and Sports
Inter college competition SANGRAM 2015 was organized on 19-20 April 2015. The students took part in different types of games & won Badminton championship for our college.

 The volley ball, boxing, athlete, 100mts, 200mts & 400mts teams won the Gold Medal and Relay & Badminton teams won silver medal in the National level Championship PARAKRAM 2015, held at ISM, Dhanbad.

• NSS Activities
On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, the NSS Wing of BCETW organized a Grand Fete on 11th March, 2015 in our college campus from 11.00 am to 5.30 p.m . The event was open to all. The main objective of organizing this Fete was to help the flood victim of Jammu and Kashmir.
