ADMISSION DETAILS >>

Admissions are made through allotment of seats by Central Selection Committee (E&T), Govt. of West Bengal during Central Counseling based on the merit of Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEE) and also on the merit list of All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) conducted by CBSE Board. Admission in 2nd year Lateral Entry for Diploma Holders is limited to a maximum 10% of the sanctioned intake in each discipline. Such seats are filled through allotment of seats by Central Selection Committee (E&T) based on the merit list of JELET examination.

Requirements for Admission:

• CSC-ET Offer Letter given during joint counseling
• WBJEE/AIEEE Rank Card
• Admit Card of WBJEE/AIEEE in original
• Attested xerox copies of marks sheet of Madhyamik or equivalent examination and HS (10+2) or equivalent examination.
• Proof of date of birth (e.g. attested copy of Madhyamik Admit card, etc.)
• Migration certificate, if already registered at any university other than West Bengal University of Technology.
• Four Stamp size colour photographs.
• Medical fitness and eye-examination certificates in the prescribed form.
• Filled-in-Application Form for admission.
• Demand Draft of amount as indicated under Fee structure (Plus Hostel charges, if applying for hostel accommodation) drawn in favour of Bengal College of Engineering and Technology for Women payable at Durgapur

Both JEM and AIEEE merit listed candidates shall have to adhere to the cut-off marks in qualifying examination (10+2) i.e., at least 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) marks in aggregates with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics for Engineering, being compulsory subjects with pass marks in each of those individual subjects (as per AICTE Norms) and pass marks (30%) in English.
